Reptile and Amphibian Day

All programs will meet at the Environmental Learning Center.

 

9:00 am to 10:00 am- Amphibian Search

Look for amphibians along the trail.  Try to identify the salamanders we find.     

 

10:00 am to 11:30 am- Timber Rattlesnakes

Join guest speaker, Matt Wilson, for an intriguing look at the life of a timber rattlesnake.   Discover interesting facts about these misunderstood animals.  

 

1:00 pm to 2:00 pm- PA Snakes

Hear some of the myths and facts about snakes, and how to identify the snakes in PA.   

 

2:00 pm to 3:00 pm- PA Turtles

What species of turtles live in PA?  How big can a snapping turtle get?   Find out during this program.  

 

3:00 pm to 4:00 pm- Frog Races

Make an origami frog to race while discovering interesting facts about frogs and toads.
