Presque Isle State Park has many unique habitats such as wetlands, ponds, forests, and beach. The peninsula is home to a variety of birds, that use the habitats for nesting, feeding, and resting grounds for migration. Learn about the largest swallow in Pennsylvania, the Purple Martin, and experience these birds as they gather and roost getting ready for the journey south.
Join the park educators on August 11, 2021 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the North pier to experience one of the largest roost in the area. This program is free and open to all ages, insect repellant is recommended. Binoculars recommended.There is no fee. Please register by August 6, 2021. Registration is limited to 25 participants.
