Invasive plants pose a huge threat to the biodiversity of native flora and fauna in ecosystems throughout the world. Celebrate WORLD BIODIVERSITY DAY (officially May 22) and PENNSYLVANIA NATIVE SPECIES DAY (officially May 18) by joining your DCNR Park Naturalist for a combined nature hike to identify local native and invasive plants along park trails and learn how we can help protect and enhance wildlife habitat. Participants are welcome to bring work gloves and clippers for some actual hands on experience battling invasive plants along the way while learning how to enhance your own back yard habitat. Registration not required.
