(A Spanish translation of PA Project WILD for English-speaking teachers in bi-lingual classrooms)

Description:

Proyecto WILD is the Spanish translation for the renowned Project WILD PA environmental educators’ curriculum. This workshop seeks to give educators in multi-lingual classrooms the vocabulary and tools necessary to teach important environmental science concepts to their Spanish-speaking students. Our workshop will be taught mostly in English, but you will go home with both the Spanish and English versions of the WILD curriculum to use in unison. The workshop is open to both formal and informal educators who would benefit from having a thorough environmental science curriculum in both languages and who would be able to use such resources on a regular basis with the groups that they serve.

To register:

(1) Sign up for a spot online here (click the green "Register" button on the righthand side of this event's page)

*In “Additional Info” on the registration page, please include 1-3 sentences explaining how this dual-language training will be used by you and your group. You can also email this information to rsheeler@pa.gov

(2) You will be contacted by one of the workshop leaders in order to confirm your registration and a link for payment will be included.

(3) Pre-pay via the link that you will be sent in order to finalize your spot. Payments must be made in advance, by Friday, February 28th. Refunds will be given if you cancel by Wednesday, March 4th.
