Teaching Environmental Literacy with Project WET - PD for Educators
A fun and engaging training that will provide educators with science-based activities that help students learn about water and the environment using lessons from the new Foundations of Water Education educator's guide.
Date: Thursday, July 23, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: In-person at Ohiopyle State Park. Specific meeting location will be provided upon registration.
Fee: $15.00 pre-registration required.
Act 48: 6.5 hrs.
Designed to complement existing curricula rather than displace or add more concepts, this new guide from Project WET is filled with hands-on, interdisciplinary lessons that address Pennsylvania educational standards, including Common Core and PA STEELS.
This training is designed for both classroom teachers and non-formal educators working with students in grades K-12 and will include both indoor and outdoor activities.
Participants will receive a copy of the guide and additional resources.
