Project WILD Teacher Workshop

Project WILD is an interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program that focuses on wildlife and habitat. The goal of Project WILD is to develop awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment resulting in informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment.

In this hands-on workshop participants will be introduced to the curriculum, guided in its use, and shown the resources available to help implement it in their classrooms.  Educators will also be given their own copy of the Project WILD K-12 Curriculum & Activity Guide.  

 

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Professional development opportunities in Project WILD, through the PA Bureau of State Parks, are designed to meet the needs of the participating educator and provide the following:

· Project WILD K-12 Curriculum & Activity Guide

· hands-on modeling for instruction and learning

· content and activities concerning native wildlife and natural resources

· activities aligned with PDE’s academic standards at appropriate grade levels

· ACT 48 hours (6 hours)

· coffee and snacks   (Please bring your own lunch.)
