Project Learning Tree is a national curriculum developed to help educators teach the importance of forests to our economy and our environment.  Lessons lead students through awareness, to knowledge, to appreciation of forests and environmental issues and careers.  From biological life cycles to the carbon cycle, and from the lumber industry to recreation, PLT's STEM activities brings to light the importance of forests as renewable resources for fuel and products, as habitat, and as a source for increasing the quality of life. 

By attending this workshop, you will receive 6 Act 48 hours, the PLT K-8 Curriculum guide and high school module on changing forests along with many resources on invasive insects; you will sharpen your Tree ID skills, network with resource people and enjoy the surroundings of Clear Creek State Park. Please contact the park office at 814 752-2368 to register for this workshop.
