Professional Development – WILD about Turkey

  Presque Isle State Park is offering a professional development course for traditional and non-traditional educators The Project WILD curriculum offers objective, experimental, science-based nature education that follows educational standards. Activities focused on wildlife can be utilized in classrooms, scout clubs, museums, zoos, parks and more.  We will focus on the wild turkey. Indoor and outdoor activities are planned. Lessons are geared towards a middle school level, however all grade level educators are welcome to attend. 6.0 hours of Act 48 Credit. Course includes a curriculum guide and teaching material. Fee is $20.00.

Programming is subject to modification or cancellation at the discretion of park staff. If you need an accommodation to participate in Park activities due to a disability, please contact Presque Isle State Park at 814-833-7424 to make arrangements for your visit. With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
