However\, for thousan ds of years\, humans of all cultures have been living under the night sky. In this program\, we will look at the night sky through the eyes of the ancient Greeks\, Chinese\, Indians\, Native Americans\, and more.\n\nJoin us at Cherry Spring State Park to take in the splendor of a gold-rated Int ernational Dark Skies Park. Those interested in experiencing a more person alized\, small-group telescope tour of the night sky can join North Star O utdoor Guides for a private telescope tour of the night sky. Participants in this program will be guaranteed ample telescope time without long wait s\; includes a discussion of the importance of dark skies\, a laser-guided tour of various constellations\, and telescope viewing. Objects which ma y be viewed include planets\, nebulae\, red giants\, globular clusters\, g alaxies\, and binary star systems. \n\nGroup Size: max. capacity 16\, not including children age 5 and under\n\nBring: Chairs\, bug spray\, and a s mall red flashlight. (ONLY RED LIGHTS ARE ALLOWED ON THE VIEWING FIELD.)\n \nDress: Dress warmly for cooler than anticipated night temperatures. The field is at higher elevation and exposed.\n\nRegistration Required - Regi stration will open 45 days prior to the program when possible and close at 3 PM 2 days prior to the program(or when full).
