Camp out at Giving Pond Recreation Area and watch for meteors during the summer's most active meteor shower. The Perseids are considered by many people to be the year’s best shower, and often peak at 50 or more meteors per hour in a dark sky. A $10 donation is requested per person and includes food and loaner camping gear if needed. Camping will begin on Wednesday evening and wrap up on Thursday morning. Rain/cloud date will be Thursday night to Friday morning. Family discounts available.
There will also be a night paddle program from 10 - 12 pm on the night of the campout, with an additional donation requested. Please sign up for that program separately if you are interested. Click here to register for the night paddle.
