Perseid Party

Try to catch the famous Perseid Meteor Shower! With bright meteors zooming in at about 1 per second, the Perseids are possibly the brightest and most famous meteor shower in the Northern Hemisphere.

With the recently full moon, meteors may be faint and hard to see. However, Saturn will also be at its closest and brightest and we’ll have telescopes available to view its rings and moons.

Park in the gravel lot for the Wildlife Viewing Area. Walk down the Lowlands Trail about 100 feet to the Wildlife Viewing Area Field on the left.

Bring a lawn chair, and wear insect repellant. No pre-registration required.
