Many of our birds may be long gone, but fall and winter are great times to see waterfowl at Little Buffalo! Join the park naturalist along Holman Lake to view and learn about the waterfowl that are passing through the park. You will learn a few of our most common birds on the lake and the differences between diving ducks and puddle ducks. Binoculars are highly recommended as many birds are far off. We will be by the lake for an hour or so, and this will be a come and go as you wish program.
The naturalist will have a table set up near the ADA Boat Ramp on the western side of the lake, right next to the intersection of Swimming Pool Road and Little Buffalo Road. Parking is roadside - there is plenty of space. This will give us the opportunity to walk to whichever side of the lake has the most waterfowl. Masks ARE required despite being outdoors. Social distancing will be practiced, and this program will be first come, first serve. We will stay until everyone gets a chance to see and learn about our waterfowl.
