DESCRIPTION:It's not just students who get to begin a new season of learnin
 g\, but educators get to do that too! Join us for an educator workshop fea
 turing the newly revised Pennsylvania Songbirds curriculum & activity guid
 e. PA Songbirds is a hands-on\, interdisciplinary K-8 educators’ resourc
 e and activity guide with over 40 lessons\, pre-made student sheets\, and 
 organizers that sort each lesson by topic and grade level. Lessons are des
 igned to introduce and enhance the learners’ knowledge of observation an
 d identification of songbirds\, bird biology\, habitat\, migration\, and m
 ore\, while helping teachers meet PA STEELS standards.\n\n\nOur three educ
 ators are excited to welcome classroom teachers and non-formal educators (
 including\, but not limited to\, pre-service teachers\, scout leaders\, ho
 meschool educators\, pre-service teachers\, youth leaders and naturalists)
  or anyone else who would like to engage children in science and our envir
 onment through the wonderful world of birds! All participants will receive
  the newly updated PA Songbirds Activity Guide. Five (5.0) Act 48 hours ar
 e available to educators holding Pennsylvania public school certification.
 \n\n \n\nMorning refreshments with snack and lunch are provided. The works
 hop will be held indoors and outdoors. Pre-registration required.\n\n \n\n
