Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing

If you'd like to enjoy the solar eclipse, but don’t want to drive too far, join us at Cherry Springs to view the partial eclipse. Stop by any time between 2 PM and 4:30 PM to enjoy fun activities and look through our specially filtered solar telescopes!  Eclipse glasses will be available while supplies last.

The peak of the eclipse will occur around 3:20 PM. The eclipse will not be visible if it is cloudy.

---

Location: Night Sky Public Viewing Area. Follow the walkway from the public program parking to the seating area.

Registration: Encouraged to relay info about the weather.

No pets, please. Large crowds and sensitive equipment do not create a pet-friendly environment.

NOTE: The Rustic Campground at Cherry Springs will be closed until 4/12. Nearby Lyman Run State Park campgrounds are open, check availability here.

---

All programs will be cancelled in the event of rain or thunder.

For updated info on cloud cover, check the Clear Sky Chart for 48-hour forecasts of clouds and viewing conditions. Please keep early April weather in mind – bring layers!
