PA Mammals Past & Present
1579 State Park Road, Newport, PA 17074-9428
Can you tell the difference between a mink and a fisher? Or have you ever felt the fur of a fox? We will have a table set up at the campground to learn about Pennsylvania’s mammals. Stop by at any point during the hour to learn about these amazing creatures as well as the mammals that once called Penn’s Woods home. We will be located across from the bath house at the campground on Black Hill Road. Please park at the Rec Hall and walk up if you are not camping with us.
All programs are subject to change due to weather or staffing shortages. Please check the DCNR Calendar of events or Facebook page for cancellations or changes to programs. Severe weather, such as snow, ice, storms, or heavy rains will cancel most programs. If you’d like, you can leave your number with us and we can notify you of changes. If you have concerns or require special accommodations, please reach out to us at least 72 hours prior to the event at 717-567-9255 or email us at Littlebuffsp@pa.gov.
