PA Land Choices Educator Workshop

#teacherworkshopPennsylvania Land Choices is an educational curriculum developed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks as a tool for teachers to educate their students about land use, land conservation, and sustainable communities. The lessons provide multi-modal, hands-on activities for students in grades 6-12. From comparing aerial photographs to designing a park, Pennsylvania Land Choices provides activities aligned to current state academic standards.
This one-day workshop will focus on how land-use and sustainable communities impact our watersheds and stream health. We’ll highlight how activities from PA Land Choices can be utilized during Meaningful Watershed Education Experiences and other field based learning opportunities for your students.
Participants will receive 5.5 hours of Act48 credit, the PA Land Choices lesson guide along with other valuable resources. Registration is required. Cost is $15 per person.
