DESCRIPTION:Pennsylvania Songbirds is a hands-on\, interdisciplinary K-8 te
 achers' resource and activity guide developed by DCNR's Bureau of State Pa
 rks and Audubon Mid-Atlantic. Lessons are developed to enhance students' k
 nowledge of observation and identification of songbirds\, bird biology\, h
 abitat\, migration\, and more\, while helping teachers meet PA STEELS stan
 dards.\n\n \n\nThis Professional Development Workshop will include first-h
 and experiences with a variety of lessons included in the guide\, as well 
 as a visit to the Bird Banding Station located at Lackawanna State Park (w
 eather permitting).\n\n \n\nOpen to classroom teachers and non-formal educ
 ators (including\, but not limited to\, pre-service teachers\, homeschool 
 parents\, naturalists\, and scout leaders)\, all participants will receive
  the newly updated PA Songbirds Activity Guide. Five (5) Act 48 hours are 
 available to educators holding Pennsylvania public school certifications.\
