This event is for current and alumni participants of the PA Outdoor Corps and their friends and families. The PA Outdoor Corps is creating events to bring Alumni together throughout Pennsylvania. PLEASE REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 30th.

Join Outdoor Corps staff and alumni as we visit Elk Country in Benezette, PA. We will meet at the Elk Country Visitor Center and tour the center, hike the grounds, and hopefully see some of PA's elk herd! DCNR staff will provide knowledge of elk and other PA species.

Afterwards we will go to a local ice cream spot for food, cornhole and games. You can bring food or purchase it at Elk Life Cafe: ELKLIFE | Explore It.

Then we will visit the areas overlooks and do our very best to find elk. In the evening is the most likely time to view elk, and we may even get to hear them bugle!

Sturdy footwear, binoculars, spotting scopes and water are suggested. Please dress for the weather.

If you have any questions, please contact North Central Regional Program Manager Justine Johnson at justinejoh@pa.gov.
