Owl Prowl at North Shore

What goes hoot in the night? Do you know which owl was mistaken for a ghost back in colonial times? Join Park Educator, Lisa Meadows, to learn all about owls that prowl the night time woods. Join us for a short talk and then we will head out to the woods. This program is for adults, teens, and kids age 7 & up. Group members should be able to remain quiet and stand patiently for several minutes in order to hear owls. This program is not suited for younger children. Adult must accompany child or teen.

Please dress for the weather, wear hiking shoes, and bring a flashlight. we will meet at the North Shore Pavilion.

Driving DirectionsDirections to North Shore from the park office: 170 Route 259 Hwy, Penn Run, PA 15765. 1. Turn Left from office parking lot. 2. Go to stop sign and turn left on Rt.422 towards Indiana 1.4 miles.3. Turn Left on South Harmony Road for 0.5 miles to Stop Sign. 4. Take Right at Stop Sign and follow South Harmony Road til pass Camp Seth Mack til you see North Shore Boat Launch.  Drive around the loop and park near pavilion.
