Nocturnal Nature: Flickering Fireflies

Glancing out into the darkened woods, you're likely to see flashes of light all over the place! Fireflies are such amazing animals and they're even the Pennsylvania state insect!

Join park staff in exploring the different species of fireflies in our state, the science behind their glow, and what we can do to help these incredible creatures. Bring a flashlight!

Please meet at the play field that connects to the campground.

Keep in mind the play field has no seating, so bring a chair or blanket to sit on!

Update: Masks are required for visitors who are not fully vaccinated!

If you need any ADA accommodations due to a disability, or would like more information, contact our park office at 570-966-1455.
