DESCRIPTION:Experience the wonder of the night sky at Cherry Springs State 
 Park through a laser-guided tour conducted by park staff. If conditions al
 low\, we'll take a look through telescopes at some of the key features of 
 the spring sky. \n\nHear legends and myths surrounding several familiar an
 d not so familiar constellations. Learn about park history\, current use\,
  and the importance of dark night skies.\n\nTelescopes will be available f
 rom roughly 10 PM onward. Availability is subject to staff/volunteer avail
 ability\, weather conditions\, and crowd size limitations. \n\nRegistratio
 n encouraged\, but not required. Should we need to cancel or modify a prog
 ram due to weather\, etc.\, we will email all registered participants. Opt
 ional registration will open 45 days before the program. \n\n----\n\nLocat
 ion: Google Maps pin for parking here. Park programs occur on the Night Sk
 y Public Viewing Area. Park in the lot and follow the gravel walkway next 
 to the restrooms to the seating area. Bench seating is limited\, you may w
 ant to bring a chair and/or blanket. \n\nWhen to Arrive: All visitors shou
 ld arrive before dark. You may still observe on your own at the park witho
 ut attending a program.\n\nPets: No pets\, please. Trained service animals
  welcome. Dim lighting\, large crowds and sensitive equipment can create d
 o not create a pet-friendly environment. We ask that park visitors leave t
 heir pets at home.\n\nWeather:  All programs will be cancelled in the even
 t of thunder or downpours. Check the Stargazing Forecast or Clear Sky Char
