CANCELED -- New Year's Eve Stargazing Walk

PROGRAM CANCELED DUE TO ICE & RAIN. Please do not come to the park for the program.  There won’t be any stars visible, and the parking lot is iced over.

Cherry Springs State Park parking lot conditions are hazardous and icy, and we expect the dangerously slippery conditions to persist with the predicted evening rain showers.  In an overabundance of safety, we have cancelled the program entirely. Please visit the park again when sky and parking lot conditions improve.

Wrap up 2022 with a starry evening stroll along crisp, wintery landscape. Join the park educator for a 1.5 mile walk along level ground in the night sky public viewing area. Snowshoes will be available as conditions allow.

Learn about winter constellations and folklore along the way with a laser-guided tour of the night sky. Program will end by 7:30 PM, leaving time for all your New Year’s Eve plans.  All ages.

Please wear warm clothes and sturdy winter boots. No pre-registration required.
