Here at Nockamixon State Park, baby birds are finding their wings and taking flight! Join us for a special storytime at the Marina, where we will get to watch Purple Martin adults and fledglings soaring overhead. In this storytime program we will share books and songs about fledgling birds, then take a short walk to visit the other nearby nesting structures to observe the birds there. This program will be one hour in duration, and is designed for children aged 3-6 and their caregivers (but open to all ages).

We will meet at the Butterly Garden in front of the Marina Visitor Center. Bring a blanket, as we will be sitting on the grass. Registration is not required, but those registered in advance will receive additional information and updates. In the event of inclement weather, we will hold the program indoors in the Environmental Education Center.

Directions to Marina Visitor Center from Park Office:
1. From the park office parking lot, head northeast by turning right onto Route 563/ Mountain View Drive.
 2. Proceed 0.8 miles to Harrisburg School Road and turn right.
3. Proceed 0.3 miles to the stop sign (entering the park) and turn left.
4. Proceed 0.2 miles on Harrisburg School Rd until you reach the stop sign at the base of the hill. The building in front of you is the marina office.
5. Turn either left or right at the stop sign and park in one of the lots directly to the side of the marina office.
