Whoooo's there?

After a half-hour presentation exploring owl traits and identification, we will hit the trail to listen (and look) for owls!

They can be a little shy, so be prepared to silently stand still at times. 

Wear suitable footwear for potentially damp grass, bring a red-light flashlight if you have one.

Walk will be about 1 mile over mostly level grass and gravel surfaces.

🗺️Where: Use entrance here, park in the lot. Walk around the hill to the viewing field, the Night Sky Public Viewing Area.

💼Bring: Red-light flashlight, extra layers/blankets, and a folding/camp chair.

🚫Leave at home: Pets (only trained service animals allowed), alcohol, recreational drugs. 

We ask that park visitors please leave their pets at home. Dim lighting, large crowds and sensitive equipment do not create a pet-friendly environment.

All programs will be cancelled in the event of rain or thunder.
