Nature at Night
Changed due to storms. Note that strong thunderstorms are expected on Saturday evening. We have shifted our scheduled programs to a relaxed opportunity to stop by and learn from our education team. Staff will be at the park until 9:30 PM as weather permits.
Stay safe! Leave the field if you see lightning.
-----
Join park staff for a family friendly Nature at Night Program! These programs feature fascinating creatures that enjoy the night as much as we do at Cherry Springs. Possible topics include: fireflies, owls bats, black bears and more.
Registration is NOT required.
---
If you have questions or would like to know when a specific topic or animal will be featured during a Nature at Night program, email cherryspringsee@pa.gov or call the park office at 814-435-1037 ext 6.

🗺️Where: Use entrance here, park in the lot. Walk around the hill to the viewing field, the Night Sky Public Viewing Area.
💼Bring: Red-light flashlight, extra layers/blankets, and a folding/camp chair.
🚫Leave at home: Pets (only trained service animals allowed), alcohol, recreational drugs. Large crowds, dim lighting, and technical equipment do not create a pet-friendly environment.
☁️Cloud Plan: If it's cloudy, but not activiely raining or storming, stop by anyway!
All programs will be cancelled in the event of rain or thunder. Check the Clear Sky Chart or AccuWeather Stargazing Forecasts for forecasts of cloud cover and viewing conditions.
