Begin the feelings of Thanksgiving gratefulness while strolling the Jennings trails on a moonlit evening.  Join Jennings staff to discover how some of the holiday sentiments we practice also occur in nature.  Many animals coexist in family groups and share their homes and food with others.  After the hike, warm up by a campfire to complete the experience.

The walk will cover about a mile of varied terrain and pass through several different habitats. The trail is rated “easy,” for those who are able to travel the distance over sloping or uneven areas.

 It will be held outdoors under clear, rainy, or snowy skies; and will begin at the “Prairie Area and Trails” parking lot.

Free event - No pre-registration required.

Jennings is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset for hiking and other environmentally related activities. If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least three days notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
