CANCELED through April 30 - Amid concerns about the potential spread of COVID-19, all public programs, events, and trainings in state parks and forests are canceled through April 30. Except for the parks and forests that have been announced as closed, state park and forest facilities remain open.
Many visitors to Presque Isle State Park express their experiences in different ways. As an artist, share your natural impressions through Presque Isle's 9th annual mixed media, student art competition, " A Day at The Beach" Presque Isle. Open to all students from first grade through college currently enrolled in a public, private, or home school. Categories include 8 x 10 photography, mixed media, oil/acrylic/pastel, pencil/pen, watercolor, and sculpture, Register by Friday March 27, 2020 by sending an email to bgula@pa.gov. Details and registration form will be given upon receipt of an e-mail. Artwork will be judged and award winners will be called for an award presentation on April 24, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. Each catagory will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner and a best in show will receive the Chairmans's Award, sponsored by the Presque Isle Advisory board. All artwork entered will be displayed on the 2nd floor of the TREC from April 25th to May 31st.
Programming is subject to modification or cancellation at the discretion of park staff.
