Native Species Day- "Planting for Pollinators"
Native Species Day is Tuesday, May 20th! Join Friends of Beltzville volunteer and Master Gardener Diane Giffels for Native Species Day at Beltzville State Park. To celebrate, we will have a special presentation titled "Planting for Pollinators", at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
Discover in this workshop, "Planting for Pollinators", how to transform your property into a thriving pollinator haven. Explore all the layers in your property where you can create a sanctuary for birds, butterflies and other beneficial insects. Following the workshop will be a guided tour of Beltzville's Pollinator Garden and Conservation Area where each year we strive to boost biodiversity by removing invasives and planting native trees, shrubs, and perennials.
We will be meeting at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) for this program. Registration is required, as space is limited! Please register each individual attending, separately.
