Celebrate National Take a Walk in the Park Day by taking a stroll in our beautiful park! Join the park naturalist for a guided 4-mile, out-and-back walk along the lake. We will take an easy, ambling pace along a flat, paved section of trail, with stops for discussion about our plants, animals, features, and history.

We will meet in front of the ranger station at the Marina (can't miss it--this is the building you see in front of you as you drive down the hill into the Marina). We'll walk 2 miles to the Stover Mill site, then turn around and come back another 2 miles. There is a bathroom at the Marina, and we will be passing a port-a-potty near our turnaround point.

No registration required. Leashed, well-mannered pet dogs are welcome to join us. Sturdy shoes and a water bottle are recommended (we won't be passing any water fountains).

DIRECTIONS TO MARINA RANGER STATION FROM THE PARK OFFICE:
1. From the park office parking lot, head northeast by turning right onto Route 563/ Mountain View Drive.

2. Proceed 0.8 miles to Harrisburg School Road and turn right.

3. Proceed 0.3 miles to the stop sign (entering the park) and turn left.

4. Proceed 0.2 miles on Harrisburg School Rd until you reach the stop sign at the base of the hill. The building in front of you is the marina office.

5. Turn either left or right at the stop sign and park in one of the lots directly to the side of the marina office.
