Mushroom Identification Walks

Join our park educator to peruse and look for mushrooms in different places throughout the park each week. Lee is a state licensed wild mushroom identifier and long time edible mushroom enthusiast. She will teach the basics of mushroom anatomy and ID as we find them. 

Any experience level is welcome. Families, teens, and adults with children are all most welcome. Most of our Ryerson trails are moderate to difficult levels with inclines, which is something important to keep in mind. Pretreating your pants and shoes with a tick repellent is recommended. We will leave promptly at the scheduled time.
