Join Western PA Mushroom Club President and Identifier Stephen Bucklin for a night walk in Cook Forest in search of glowing mushrooms!  We’ll be using UV lights to elicit fluorescence (glowing) in mushrooms, making them easier to detect in the dark.  Bring a regular headlamp or flashlight (preferably with a red light setting or filter for preserving night vision) for safety purposes.  We’ll meet at the Old Logging Road trailhead on Forest Drive (Google Maps Pin).  There is about a 2-mile loop trail we’ll walk that goes through mixed woods dominated by towering white pine and eastern hemlock trees.
