Muddy Creek Oil Field Living History Exhibit  - Saturday,  September 11, 2021

11:00 AM to 4:00 PM – Park Road - Moraine State Park

Come see a restored oil well in operation! The Muddy Creek Oil Well is an award-winning restoration site of an antique oil well. The Bessemer Gas Engine and Marshall-Barr No. 19 oil well equipment is restored and open (free admission) for visitors to hear and see the industry that powered this region.

The well will operate from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM weather permitting. Volunteers will be there to operate the engine and answer your questions. So come out and see the Bessemer engine pump some Pennsylvania crude. The central powerhouse site is located beyond the State Parks Region 2 office, 195 Park Road, Prospect PA, (Old 422 off Route 528). Visit www.3mjc.org  for more information.
