Mira Lloyd Dock was the first woman appointed to a Pennsylvania state government position. She spent 13 years traveling around the state inspecting lands and recommending their purchase. More than 115 years after she crusaded for the “City Beautiful” movement and forest preservation, she still inspires volunteers to steward our natural world.
