Meet the Macros
3 Family Camp Road, White Haven, PA 18661
Streams, rivers, wetlands, and lakes are home to a variety of small animals known as macroinvertebrates. These animals without backbones can be seen with the naked eye and are mostly tiny immature stages of insects but can be large, as with crayfish. Come out to the start of Shades of Death Trail to find out why these insects are important in the food chain and how we can use them as indicators of water quality.
