DESCRIPTION:The 19th century gristmill\, the centerpiece of McConnells Mill
  State Park\, will open for the season beginning May 16. The mill is open m
 id-May through Labor Day\, every Wednesday through Sunday from 10:30 AM to 
 3:30 PM\, admission is free. The mill is also open summer holidays\, includ
 ing Memorial Day. Interpretive tours of the historic mill\, given by staff 
 or volunteer docents\, are scheduled at 1:00 and 2:00 PM daily\, or by requ
 est. Park at the Kildoo Picnic Area and hike down the stone stairs to the m
 ill. Limited parking\, for people with disabilities\, may be available besi
 de the mill. Interpretive tours for groups may be scheduled by calling the 
 Moraine Park office 724 368-8811
