Scouts (ages 7-11) will participate in a two-hour program that explores the science and math behind making maple syrup! The program will begin with an introduction on the wonder of trees followed by staff guided, outdoor, hands-on activities that will unravel the mystery of turning sap to syrup. Maple products from a local producer will be available in Jennings’ gift shop for optional purchases. This maple sugaring program will be offered in the afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each participating scout will receive an embroidered patch.

Cub Scout den leaders and Girl Scout troop leaders must pre-register their scouts and all other participants for either the morning or afternoon session. Register to the right or by calling Jennings at 724-794-6011. If registering online be sure you are registering for either the AM or PM Session, registering as a group, and registering all leaders, adults, scouts and siblings who will be attending. Space is limited for this very popular program! The program fee is $2.00 per person (scout leaders are free). Scout leaders will need to confirm and pre-pay for an accurate number of registered participants by February 26.  Payment form will be emailed soon after registering.  Registration is not complete until payment is received.

If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least three days notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
