Join DCNR, Venture Outdoors, and Friends of the Riverfront for a special event learning a new skill navigating the rivers around Pittsburgh! If you have ever wanted to paddle through one of the many locks and dams around Pittsburgh, now is your chance to do so! 

This event is anticipated to be about 4 – 4.5 hours.  The event includes a tour of Allegheny Island State Park with DCNR Environmental Education Specialists!

This session is designed for paddlers at an intermediate experience level. All paddlers should have some experience paddling a kayak on their own and a basic knowledge of river safety.

A snack bag and water bottle will be included. This event includes a shuttle service that will begin at 9 AM in the Harmar Fish and Boat Launch Parking lot. You may bring your own kayak to this event, please mark your ticket accordingly so we know how many boats to provide.
