Celebrate America250 with a look at the native edible plants that were used to create "Liberty Tea" at a time when colonists could not get tea from England.

 

Join "The Wild Edibles Lady" Debbie Naha-Koretzky on this walk and learn botany hike around Nolde Forest.  She will cover plant identification, safety, look-alike plants, sustainable harvesting, nature appreciation, nutrition, and cooking with wild plants.

Debbie is the author of Foraging Pennsylvania and New Jersey and The Northeastern Forager’s Cookbook. She is also a registered dietitian/nutritionist, Rutgers Master Gardener, Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, and certified science teacher. She has conducted countless foraging programs for state organizations, environmental centers, native plant societies, and more. She received her master's degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University.

 

Registration required, spaces are limited. Registration will open May 1.
