This event will be held virtually via Zoom in partnership with the Friends of Washington Crossing Park; it will NOT be face-to-face in the park.  Washington Crossing Historic Park curator Kimberly McCarty will give a free public lecture discussing the roles of 18th century ferries and taverns on Sunday, October 18 at 1:30 PM.

Located in town centers and along major transportation routes, ferries and taverns were community hubs where people could eat, rest, and share the latest news about America’s struggle for independence.  McConkey's Ferry - where Washington Crossed the Delaware- will be highlighted.

Registration is required and opens September 1. Log-in information will be forwarded upon registration.
