Come send out the old year and greet the new one with our Last Day and First Day hike. There are three hikes to choose from, ranging from easy to challenging. There’s a hike for everyone, from the casual walker to serious hiker. Make sure children are properly dressed for the weather conditions, and be sure children can finish the hike, especially the vista hike! Pets on a leash are welcome. Bring water, snacks, and a camera for the many photo opportunities on the trails.

LAST DAY HIKE - 10:00 am – Moderate Hike – If your New Year’s Resolution is to get outdoors, get started on it a day early! End your year on a moderately strenuous hike to the Greenwood Furnace Fire Tower as we walk the trail together to get there and back again for a distance of approximately six miles on the last day of 2021. As we hike, we can search for animal tracks in the snow (maybe) and winter plants (definitely!) Led by our hike volunteers from the Standing Stone Trail Club Kirstin Joivell and George Conrad. Allow 3 hours for the hike.
