Time:  10:00 AM—2:00 PM each day (day camp only; no overnight)

 Description:  Pymatuning State Park in partnership with the Pymatuning Lake Association is offering a two-day kayak camp for children ages 12+.  The camp will include an entry-level American Canoe Association (ACA) kayaking course and cover the topics of safety, paddling environment, equipment, strokes, maneuvers, wet exits, and assisted rescue techniques.  During camp, participants will have the opportunity to put their new skills to use as we explore the shoreline and enjoy some kayak games.  Participants will get wet as this a hands-on course.  All participants should possess basic swim skills and be comfortable on, in, and around the water.  Properly fitted life jackets will be worn at all times while on the water.  All kayaks and equipment will be provided.  Additional details and logistics will be given to all registered participants.  This is a day camp only; no overnight.

Cost:  $30 includes kayak instruction and equipment
