One of the best ways to truly experience the Pennsylvania Wilds is by paddling our local waterways while staying within the unique comforts of the Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park. Fulfill this goal during our two-day exclusive kayaking adventure on the waters of F.J. Sayers Lake and Bald Eagle Creek. It’s certain to be a weekend you won’t soon forget!

Upon arriving Friday, you will begin by meeting the park naturalist and float trip leaders to discuss the weekend's float plan. Following a brief planning session a locally sourced dinner will be awaiting you on the patio of the Nature Inn. To end the day, the park naturalists will lead the group onto the lake for basic paddling instruction and relaxation during an Evening Sunset Paddle.

Saturday will be spent floating down the Bald Eagle Creek. The park naturalists will be along to point out and discuss local flora and fauna seen along the way. A creek-side lunch will be provided at historic Curtain Village and Eagle Iron Works. During the stop for lunch, park naturalists will discuss the history and importance of the area.  The remainder of the afternoon will be spent paddling back to Bald Eagle State Park. After dinner at the Inn on Saturday, take the time to explore Bald Eagle State Park or local attractions on your own.

Be sure to wake up early on Sunday morning for a hot breakfast and a guided Sunday Morning Stroll led by the park naturalist to conclude the weekend before you checkout.

*Kayaking is a water sport.

You will get WET! Prior kayaking experience is recommended.

*Participants must be in good physical condition & able to independently perform all tasks associated with kayaking.

*Participants must be at least 15 years old to participate.

*Participants must provide their own transportation to launch sites within BESP & Milesburg. A shuttle will return you to your vehicle.

*An additional $40 a person is required for kayak rental & may be paid by either cash or check that weekend. You may bring your own kayak but will be responsible for transporting it to & from the launches.
