CANCELED through April 30 -- Junior Master Gardeners: Seed Starters for grades 2-4

CANCELED through April 30 - Amid concerns about the potential spread of COVID-19, all public programs, events, and trainings in state parks and forests are canceled through April 30. Except for the parks and forests that have been announced as closed, state park and forest facilities remain open.

Hands-on STEAM program for Grades 2-4 (older students also welcome to register)! Come learn with educators from Tyler State Park and The Southampton Free Library!

Six Wednesdays at 1– 3 pm

February 19, 26, March 4, 11, 18, 25, 2020 (+ raindate April 1)

Registration is for all six dates. 

This is a drop off program targeted to students in grades 2-4.  Students should be able to read and work independently and in small groups. 

Through six themed lessons students will

- Engage in hands-on experimentation and observation using the  scientific method

- Raise plants and create habitat elements while taking into consideration the specific needs of each organism

- Earn Junior Master Gardener Golden Ray Certificates for their portfolios

- Completed projects can be exhibited in the 4-H building at the Middletown Grange Fair in August.
