Please join us in helping with the removal of invasive plants within the Giving Pond Recreation Area!
For this pull, we plan to focus our efforts on easily hand-pulled invasives such as garlic mustard, mile-a-minute, and Japanese stilt grass, as well as larger plants such as autumn olive and multiflora rose.
Brush can be dense in certain areas so please dress appropriately, i.e. long pants, long-sleeve shirt, and close-toed shoes.
Work gloves, loppers, hand saws & bug spray will be provided by the park as well as cold drinks and snacks for all volunteers!
If you'd like to bring any of your own equipement work gloves, loppers, and hand saws would be beneficial. However, NO chainsaws are allowed.
Help us improve this special area within Delaware Canal State park for all to enjoy!
