Are you new to kayaking and don't know where to begin? If you are thinking about getting into kayaking, join us for a crash course in the basics of kayaks. We have limited space and boats available, so please do not register if you have kayaked with us before. Register by visiting the DCNR Calendar of Events.

Must be 12 years and older and able to handle an adult kayak to join us. Those under 18 MUST be with a parent. If you have questions, concerns or require special accommodations, please reach out to qheist@pa.gov. We will meet at the small grey kayak shed located next to the main boat launch in theShoaff’s Mill Area, on Boat Launch Road.

All programs are subject to change due to weather or staffing shortages. Please check the DCNR Calendar of events or Facebook page for cancellations or changes to programs. Severe weather, such as snow, ice, storms, or heavy rains will cancel most programs. If you’d like, you can leave your number with us and we can notify you of changes.
