Are you curious about snowshoeing? Join us for a two hour program that is perfect for first timers and beginners.  Participants will learn the basics of snowshoeing, including equipment use, simple techniques, and winter safety.  After our introduction to snowshoe, we will head out on a relaxed, guided snowshoe walk. No prior experience is needed.  Participants should dress for the weather and be comfortable hiking in snow. Participants age 17 & under (9 & over) must attend with adult and weigh over 50lbs and be at least 4 ft tall.  Program is weather dependent & will be cancelled if not enough snow or icy conditions.  

Dress to be outside! Wear hiking boots or winter boots with good traction. Children, age 12 & under, must be supervised by a participating parent. Meet at the Laurel Mountain Warming Hut, 1120 Laurel Summit Road, Boswell, PA. WEATHER DEPENDENT. PROGRAM WILL BE CANCELLED IF TOO COLD OR ICY CONDITIONS. PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED.
