DESCRIPTION:Hidden Gems of the Tiadaghton series: With nearly 150\,000 acre
 s of land in the Tiadaghton State Forest\, there is bound to be some incre
 dible\, interesting\, and beautiful sites that most people just aren’t a
 ware of. In this series of programs\, you will get to see a variety of the
 se unsuspecting areas.\n\nThe Algerine Swamp contains part of a glacial bo
 g\, which is “one of the finest and most represented high mountain bogs 
 in the Allegheny Mountains section of Pennsylvania.” Come see and learn 
 about what makes this area so unique as we hike approximately 3/4 of a mil
 e into the swamp to view some of the trees\, plants\, and animals that cal
 l it home. \n\nGood\, waterproof boots\, rubber/Muck boots\, or a willingn
 ess for wet feet is strongly recommended\, as is insect repellent. It is v
 ery likely we will end up in at least ankle-deep water. \n\nMeet at the tr
 ailhead of the Algerine Trail\, at the end of Algerine Lane off Gamble Run
