On this 242nd birthday of America, join park staff on a hike from the campground contact station to Hopewell Furnace for their 4^th of July festivities. Our hike will end at the Iron Master’s House at 2 pm when there will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence accompanied with music and traditional patriotic songs.

After the presentation, you are welcome to explore the grounds of Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site or hike back to the campground with the park naturalist.  (If you’d rather not hike, parking at Hopewell is free. Just be there by 2 pm for the celebration)
