DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day by visiting the park and participating in t
 he "I Kid A Rod"!  The "I Kid A Rod" is a program developed to teach young 
 people the art of mushing using sled dogs while promoting outdoor recreatio
 n. They teach young people about the "Iditarod " race and also the "Serum R
 un" in Alaska in the 1920s where only sled dogs could deliver desperately n
 eeded medicine through the snow and harsh terrain.  After learning about mu
 shing\, the kids can compete in a friendly dry-land competition using eggs 
 as the serum for the mock "Serum Run". The event is free and open to the fi
 rst 25 kids whose parents call the park to register their child. Parents mu
 st accompany their children to this event. The public is encouraged to watc
