Explore Lackawanna State Park by joining us for a series of guided hikes.  Each Wednesday, we will walk different trails, as well as discuss the regional natural history. Hikes will be approximately 2 hours in length, and vary in terrain and difficulty. 

It is recommended to wear good hiking shoes and to bring water/snacks.  Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome.

• This week we will meet at the Rowlands Rd. Access for our hike.  We will walk along the South Branch of the Tunkhannock Creek and make our way to the Messimer Preserve, part of the Countryside Conservancy.  This is a fairly flat route, but can be muddy in places. Distance is about 2.5 miles out and back.
